Supplementary shielding for healthy tissue and organs
Elekta Xoft Axxent Rigid Shield are used with the Elekta Xoft System when additional protection of surrounding healthy tissue or organs is desired during electronic brachytherapy.
Manufactured from purified, biocompatible, non-toxic, surgical grade stainless steel, Rigid Shield provide shielding from low-energy radiation up to 50 kVp with ≥ 90% attenuation (0.2 mm lead equivalency at 50 kVp).
