During this two-day workshop, participants will develop data management, retrieval, and report writing skills for analysis of departmental performance and quality outcomes. Participants will learn how to generate reports using Crystal Reports and the MOSAIQ Data Dictionary.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Identify how MOSAIQ uses Crystal Reports
  • Differentiate reports within MOSAIQ from those within Crystal Reports
  • Create reports within the MOSAIQ Report Navigator and Crystal Reports
  • Configure Crystal Reports software for optimum use with MOSAIQ
  • Use the MOSAIQ Data Dictionary
  • Explain the MOSAIQ database
  • Explain characteristics of a relational database
  • Recognize database table indexes
  • Describe components for effective report writing
  • Explain the report layout within Crystal Reports
  • Differentiate various field types
  • Differentiate tables from fields and fields from formulas
  • Browse for field data
  • Add a database table and make simple links between tables
  • Edit field labels and modify field size
  • Modify field placement within the report
  • Use Select Expert
  • Create parameters

  • Utilize advanced formatting techniques
