Customer satisfaction ratings high for linear accelerators, SRS, treatment planning and oncology information systems
MD Buyline reports that Elekta’s linear accelerators, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), oncology information management and treatment planning systems received the highest user satisfaction ratings when compared to these solutions offered by other vendors in the industry.
Vendors are rated on a 1 to 10 scale according to user satisfaction with system performance, system reliability, system installation/implementation, applications training, service response time and service repair quality. MD Buyline clinical and IT analysts conduct interviews with hands-on users, including clinicians, physicians, biomedical engineers, physicists, nurses, CIOs and IT managers.
Elekta’s linear accelerators maintained their steady ratings from the previous quarter and led competitors across the evaluable categories of system reliability, installation and implementation, applications training, service response time and service repair quality. The report indicated that Elekta “offers a complete, well-integrated solution to all areas of oncology care.”
Elekta SRS systems continued to earn good to excellent ratings among customers, with user satisfaction improvements in service repair quality. Users noted “great confidence” in Elekta, stating that issues are “resolved quickly and efficiently.”
Elekta led two vendors in user satisfaction ratings for treatment planning systems. Ratings were improved in assessments of system performance, and consistent with last quarter’s ratings for system reliability, and installation and implementation. Users noted that integration is streamlined due to the interoperability of Elekta’s various solution types (i.e, planning and treatment systems, and OIS).
Improvements in system performance and reliability ratings, as well as installation and implementation, applications training, service response time and repair, pushed Elekta’s MOSAIQ® oncology information system to the top ranking. The report indicated that users appreciate that Elekta’s open technology “can be used with competing vendor’s equipment,” and customer support was described as “excellent.”
