Goal:
The 2 day PrecisePLAN® Treatment Planning Refresher Course provides training for Dosimetrists, Physicists and Radiation Oncologists in the clinical use of the latest version of PrecisePLAN® software. The course will provide the customer with training on any new enhancements in PrecisePLAN® software. The course does not provide training in the principles or techniques used in Radiation Therapy.
Objectives:
- Provide a basic understanding of the latest hardware and software releases of the PrecisePLAN® Treatment Planning Software
- Enable accurate preparation of patient data for treatment planning
- Facilitate competent use of PrecisePLAN® software for clinical purposes
- Understand the relevant safety issues and system administration procedures with regard to the daily use of the machine
Requirements for Training:
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the following:
- A Medical Dosimetrist and/or Physicist to attend the course in Norcross, Georgia
- Schedule the attendees with the Training Coordinator at Elekta
- Attendees to be familiar with the Operators Manual or any Release Notes for the latest version of PrecisePLAN® Treatment Planning Software
Accreditation – Medical Dosimetry Certification Board
This training is accredited through MDCB. Dosimetrists receive credits if, they attend all elements of the training program as documented in the Training Checklist.
Accreditation – American Society of Radiation Therapy
This training is accredited through ASRT. Attendees receive credits if they attend all elements of the training program as documented in the training checklist. |

Operator’s Manuals and Training Guides which include step by step tutorials are supplied in the training course.
Course Schedule
Training hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Elekta reserves the right to make changes to this schedule. The dates for the 2-Day update training will be made available to the customer if this happens.
