Accordingly the Advanced Service & Support program has been developed to secure the performance of Leksell Gamma Knife® C over time. It builds on three cornerstones to offer convenience, confidence and cost control The Advanced Service & Support program includes services and support needed to ensure patient safety, as well as optimizing hardware and software investment. Technical Service & Maintenance The Advanced Service & Support program provides for scheduled, planned maintenance of Leksell Gamma Knife® C by trained and certified Elekta engineers. During the planned maintenance, a thorough verification and check program is conducted, software and hardware updates are installed and the spare part kits for both the Leksell Coordinate Frame and Leksell Gamma Knife® C are updated with new parts. Support Elekta’s Technical Support is available during standard business hours. The highly qualified, committed Elekta support team uses the latest in communication technology, constantly striving to provide timely answers to questions and support your needs. Elekta responds to any call from sites with Advanced Service & Support within four hours and, if needed, a technician can be at the site next business day. Physics Support is also available to answer questions. Upgrading The Advanced Service & Support program includes free upgrade of all newly released features of Leksell Gamma Knife® C software. Additionally, the Automatic Positioning System™ and Leksell Coordinate Frame are continuously exchanged. The connectivity to new scanners by Scanner Interface Support is also included.
