Clinicians from Swedish Cancer Institute to Present Clinical Case for Elekta's VMAT Solution

Interactive workshop to take place during American Radium Society’s 91st Annual Meeting

 

Vivek Mehta, MD, Director of the Center for Advanced Targeted Radiation Therapies and Daliang Cao, PhD, Medical Physicist at the Swedish Cancer Institute, Seattle, Washington, will present a workshop entitled, 4D Image Guided VMAT: A New Revolution in Human Care, Sunday, April 26, 1:00 p.m. at the Four Seasons Vancouver Hotel, Vancouver, British Columbia.

The workshop will take place during the American Radium Society’s 91st Annual Meeting, and will demonstrate how Elekta’s Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT ) solution can improve both clinical quality and operational efficiency for radiation therapy programs.

VMAT is a clinically supported, widely accepted treatment technique for cancer care that offers patients shortened treatment times while providing more precise control of the radiation dose to maximize safety to nearby normal tissues.
