Goal:

The 5 day PrecisePLAN® Treatment Planning Course, provides training for Dosimetrists, Physicists and Radiation Oncologists in the clinical use of the PrecisePLAN® Treatment Planning System. Successful participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to operate the complete system effectively. The course does not provide training in the principles or techniques used in treatment planning.

Objectives:

• Provide a basic understanding of the hardware and software comprising the PrecisePLAN® Treatment Planning System
• Enable accurate preparation of patient data for treatment planning for clinical treatment
• Facilitate competent use of PrecisePLAN® for clinical purposes
• Understand the relevant safety issues and system administration procedures with regard to the daily use of the system

Requirements for Training:

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the following:

• Provide a Medical Dosimetrist or Physicist to attend the course at Linac House, Crawley, UK.
  
• Schedule the attendees with the Training Coordinator at Elekta
• The attendee should have at least 2 to 3 weeks of hands on experience with the treatment planning computer
• Be familiar with the Operators Manual or any Release Notes for the latest version of PrecisePLAN® Treatment Planning software

Operator’s Manuals and Training Guides which include step by step tutorials are included in the training course materials.

Training hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Training will commence Monday am and will end on Friday at 5:00pm.
