Patient comfort Patient comfort and precision engineering have been primary considerations when designing the Precise Table, with the result that using Precise Table is made as pleasant as possible for patients. The low minimum height of the table means easier access for patients. Near silent, smooth running motors reduce discomfort.
Prepared for emergencies In the event of power failure the vertical movement uses an emergency down-drive operated by an uninterruptible power supply. This is activated by the movements enable bar allowing the patient to dismount safely.
 Precise Table can be fitted with the following tabletop modules offering interfaces to a range of Elekta and other vendor accessories and patient positioning aids:
Operator conveniencePrecise Table combines clinical and precision engineering with operator efficiency. The ergonomic design of the table and integral adjustable control panels eliminate dangling cables. The control panels are centrally placed either side of the table enabling:
- easy access for either single or multi-operator set-up
- optimal view of the patient during set-up
- full control of all table movements simultaneously and independently, including vertical and horizontal, longitudinal and lateral motion, and both column and isocentric rotation.
An optional second accelerator handheld controller can be mounted on the end of Precise Table. Movements from the handheld controller allow simultaneous linear accelerator and table movements.
| |  Superb access for all treatmentsThe compact vertical lift mechanism, when combined with the exceptional head to isocenter clearance (45cm) of all Elekta linear accelerators, allows unrestricted access for a wide range of gantry and table positions. Patients receiving radical breast treatment can be treated on a breast board with both arms elevated and supported, due to the exceptional clearance offered by all of the Elekta linear accelerators. For stereotactic applications the table, fitted with the versatile C-arm top or iBEAM® evo Couchtop , provides an unrivalled combination of positional accuracy and access to the head-and-neck area for treatment from any angle. 
Large field treatmentsThe compact drive together with the large range of lift allows irradiation at 180°, with a source-to-skin distance of up to 150cm. For the treatment of large fields at extended distances, Precise Table provides accurate positioning for confident set-up at the low and high extremes of the couch range. Specified for advanced techniquesFor applications such as IMRT and stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT ), the accuracy of physical positioning must match the precision of beam delivery.
