Image-guided stereotactic radiation therapy system

Until recently, the full potential of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT) for small-field lesions and other indications with tight tumor margins was limited due to organ motion uncertainties. The Elekta Synergy image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) system addressed the organ motion challenge for cranial and extracranial targets by integrating an imaging workflow into the system—enabling imaging with the patient in the treatment position just moments before therapy.
Elekta Synergy S, incorporating the same imaging tools—3D volumetric cone beam imaging for soft tissue visualization; 2D real-time, fluoroscopic-like imaging for moving targets; and 2D kV imaging for standard planar imaging—enhances the clinician’s confidence in SRS and SRT delivery. The imaging workflow, combined with advanced patient immobilization technology, affords the precision to reduce margins and increase therapeutic dose for even the smallest targets.
Beam Modulator™ offers the potential for even greater precision, offering fine field-shaping capabilities, fully interdigitating leaves and complete integration with the treatment system. Low leakage and tight penumbra enable clinicians to treat confidently near critical structures.
- Streamlined treatment delivery workflow with MOSAIQ information system solutions.
- Ready for upgrade to VMAT delivery.
- Optional BodyFix and HeadFix accessories enhance SBRT treatments with reliable and reproducible patient positioning and fixation.
- Optional HexaPod EvO table provides six degrees of positional correction, permitting a further measure of clinical confidence in margin reduction.
