Active Breathing Coordinator™

Active Breathing Coordinator addresses the localization challenges associated with breathing motion and provides a stable and reproducible target position. It has particular application for precision treatment in the thorax and upper abdomen.

X-ray beam blocking

Elekta provides a range of beam blocking and imaging accessories to shape the treatment beam and shield critical organs. The beam blocking and imaging accessories include: shadow tray assembly, beam block tray and kit, port film graticule, hook-and-latch graticule and a universal cassette holder.

Elekta tabletops

Our open-systems philosophy ensures that Elekta are able to offer a range of tabletops to suit all clinical needs. With the implementation of advanced stereotactic treatments, there is an increased emphasis on patient positioning and reproducibility as well as optimising image quality and minimizing beam attenuation. With these issues in mind the range of Elekta tabletops offer each clinic the flexibility to choose a tabletop best positioned to meet their needs and strengthen their ability to optimize treatment outcomes.

Standard accessories package

The range of Elekta radiotherapy accessories provide exceptional quality combined with the versatility required within a busy oncology department. Robust, easy-to-use, efficient and accurate, Elekta accessories incorporate the latest materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum, to ensure confident, reproducible patient positioning.

BlueBAG™

BlueBAG vacuum cushions offer the most advanced vacuum cushion technology available today. BlueBAG™ vacuum cushions create a comfortable, stable and precise mould of the patient’s position. The BlueBAG™ retains its physical characteristics and ensures integrity of the patient mould for up to six weeks.

BodyFIX®

BodyFIX is a non-invasive, dual vacuum activated immobilization and fixation system that provides the clinician with the most accurate and comprehensive patient positioning available today. The dual vacuum system provides stable immobilization and repeatable positioning by minimizing both voluntary and involuntary patient movement, including breathing movements.

BodyFIX features advanced custom molding to ensure patient comfort and integrated indexed patient positioning which provides accurate, precise and reproducible patient set-up for intensity modulated stereotactic radiation therapy and highly conformal 3D treatments.

Dynamic mMLC

The dynamic micro multileaf collimator (DMLC) offered by Elekta is the most versatile technology available today for fulfilling SRS requirements and is compatible with any of the range of Elekta linear accelerators.

There are three dynamic micro multileaf add-on collimators to choose from providing a 3mm, 5mm and 7mm leaf width (at isocenter) and 7 x 7cm, 10 x 12cm and 10 x 17cm fieldsize (at isocenter), respectively.

All options offer dynamic treatments and the improved homogeneity in target shaping, including minimizing dose to critical organs, that this provides. The 3mm and 5mm dynamic micro multileaf collimators are certified for use with 6MV making it an extremely versatile tool for SRT and SRS.

To optimize beam shaping provided by the Elekta add on micro MLC, the leaves have been designed to be dual focussed, minimizing and homogenizing the penumbra. Leakage and unwanted dose outside the target area is limited by the tongue and groove design of the leaves and the 8cm leaf height.

Stereotactic cones

To optimize field shaping a range of stereotactic cones are available in varying sizes from 5mm to 50mm. Cones are placed into a universal collimator holder which enables micrometer adjustments to be made to the cone position, ensuring optimal accuracy is always achieved.
