Easy access

Elekta Compact provides unrivalled patient clearance (45cm accessory ring to isocenter), essential for both routine and advanced techniques. Radiation head clearance provides the spatial requirements essential for non-co-planar beams. The compact X-ray head facilitates access to otherwise inaccessible inferior posterior oblique treatment angles.

The coded shadow tray provides a means for attaching shielding blocks onto the head of Elekta Compact. When dedicated for a patient, these coded trays can provide additional security for the accurate delivery of treatment.

Wide clearance

The low isocentric height, combined with the exceptional clearance, enables unrestricted access for a wide range of gantry positions, enabling routine breast and head-and-neck work without having to compromise technique.

Due to the clearance on Elekta Compact, patients receiving radical breast treatment can be treated with both arms raised whilst supported on a breast board.

For more conformal techniques, a range of accessory mounts and custom or standard blocking trays are available. The low isocenter of Elekta Compact ensures that attachment of a range of small field multileaf collimation systems and X-ray beam-shaping accessories is simple and convenient.

New functions and features can be easily added to support an increasingly broad range of radiation therapy applications.

Precise patient set-up

Through the unique, patented Z-drive mechanism, Precise Table achieves unparalleled positional accuracy at both extremes of elevation. For stereotactic applications the table fitted with the C-arm or iBEAM® evo carbon fiber tabletop provides an exceptional combination of positional accuracy and access to the head-and-neck area for treatment from any angle.

The extensive range of tabletops and table accessories available with Precise Table offers further clinical flexibility. The large vertical table range enables the treatment of large fields at extended distances and irradiation from beneath with a source-to-skin distance of up to 150cm.

Streamlining the entire process

The unique large field automatic wedge minimizes the need for complicated QA and planning procedures, saving time and cost and improving throughput.

Additionally, the integration of this wedge into the head of the linear accelerator means there is no lifting of heavy external wedges.

The fully integrated autowedge enables the wedge to be put into position from outside the treatment room, thereby improving treatment workflow.
