Elekta AutoCAL software automates the MLC calibration process using EPID images from iViewGT™ . Hence, time consuming film imaging, processing, scanning and analysis, along with the uncertainties of positioning and marking, is avoided. AutoCAL provides superior reproducibility and is used by Elekta factory and service engineers for MLC set-up.
AutoCAL software can be installed directly on the iViewGT acquisition workstation, and on any network connected computer/laptop, and reads images directly from the iViewGT database without any loss of resolution. The software automatically analyzes a set of acquired digital images and for the leaf gain/offset test, establishes whether MLC leaves are within tolerance, and calculates any adjustments that need to be made. Any updated calibration values are exported to the Desktop Pro R6.0 control system at the touch of a button.

AutoCAL is an MS-Windows application with a simple to use workflow-oriented taskbar that sequences EPID panel geometric set-up, MLC calibration, and Quality Assurance tests. AutoCAL supports all aspects of X/Y collimator jaw and MLC leaf calibration, and is fast enough to be part of a routinely scheduled linear accelerator quality control process. All images and calibration results are available for archive and subsequent off-line analysis (i.e. trending). 
AutoCAL is included with Beam Modulator ™ and is an upgrade option for MLCi users to streamline the process of installation, set-up, acceptance and maintenance.
