High resolution beam-shaping

Elekta has developed Beam Modulator which offers high-resolution beam-shaping fully integrated with the linear accelerator.

Beam Modulator is designed to meet the stringent needs of the rapidly evolving field of high-resolution extracranial stereotactic radiation therapy and intensity modulated radiation therapy.

This, in combination with image guided radiation therapy, will open opportunities for increasing the target dose and minimizing dose to healthy tissue.

By design, Beam Modulator also offers a first-class solution for normal day-to-day X-ray and electron treatment techniques, enabling small to medium volume techniques to be carried out with increased conformance to the target volume.
