In June, Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion earned the number one ranking for radiation therapy in the KLAS research firm’s recently released 2011 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Medical Equipment & Infrastructure report. This recognition signifies leadership in working with customers to resolve issues and match expectations to reality.
Why is this important to our customers?
This was an independent report from healthcare executives and professionals carried out by KLAS, which gathered performance rating over the past 12 months for medical equipment and infrastructure vendors in 33 market segments. In the report, Perfexion scored 92.9 out of 100 and 95 percent of customers indicated they would buy again. On a 1 to 9 scale, Perfexion received an 8.6 from respondents for satisfaction with product uptime, the highest score among all vendors rated.

This was a major report carried out by an independent research company, which gathered performance ratings throughout 2010 for healthcare IT software and service vendors in 113 market segments, and encompassing 17,667 healthcare providers. MOSAIQ stood out for its ability to streamline clinical operations and to enable clinics to integrate vendor-neutral hardware and software.
KLAS 2010 Report Gives MOSAIQ No. 1 Ranking
In September 2010, Elekta received the top rank in the KLAS report, The Oncology IT Balancing Act: Integration vs. Functionality. In this report, Elekta received top scores in six categories: product worked as promoted; on-time implementation; quality of training; overall product quality; and supports integration goals and keeps promises.

MOSAIQ Earns Top Position for EMR Performance Criteria in Black Book Ranking
In May 2010, MOSAIQ propelled Elekta to the No. 1 position overall among 20 comprehensive oncology/hematology EMR vendors in the annual Black Book Rankings for 2011. The four end-to-end service lines defining a "comprehensive ambulatory EMR vendor" were: electronic health records and document management; practice management and revenue cycle management; e-prescribing; and patient accessibility. www.blackbookrankings.com

Black Book Rankings – conducted by the highly credible, independent Brown-Wilson Group – surveyed 576 qualified users, implementers and administrators of oncology/hematology physician practices in the focused Black Book study of the top 20 EMR vendors. The distance between Elekta and the vendor receiving the #2 overall rank was extremely wide – with Elekta achieving a nearly perfect score on 13 of 18 Key Performance Indicators; No. 2 received top marks in only two of the 18 KPI’s. One of the key findings of the survey was that the KPI’s of client relationship and cultural fit, and reliability, were among the most critical characteristics influencing EMR Services client satisfaction with their EMR providers. Elekta received a virtually perfect score in both of these.
Elekta Autosegmentation Software Earns First Place Rankings at MICCAI 2010
In October 2010, Elekta’s prototype ABAS autosegmentation software received top marks for autosegmentation in the lung and head-and-neck at the 13th International Conference on Medical Imaging and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI 2010). The contest was part of the Medical Imaging Analysis for the Clinic: a Grand Challenge workshop held in conjunction with MICCAI. www.miccai.org
